Ten Strange Pregnancy Symptoms

Pregnancy round ligament pain
If you feel a sudden sharp pain in your abdomen or around your hips, don’t panic. Round ligament pain is common during pregnancy and often occurs in the second trimester. As your stomach expands, so does the ligament that’s supporting your uterus and any sudden movement (from standing up to sneezing) can make it contract, causing an uncomfortable twinge.
Solution
Rest is one of the best ways to avoid round ligament pain. And, when changing positions, do it slowly to allow your ligaments to stretch gradually, which will reduce the risk of discomfort. If you’re on the verge of a sneeze or cough, try bending forward slightly and flexing your hips so there’ll be less of a pull on your ligaments.
