Post-Pregnancy Health Problems

Really Bad Sex
Even if you've had a C-section, it's normal for sex to be painful (or at least uncomfortable) the first few times you try after childbirth. There may be bruised muscle tissue, scar tissue, or your body may just be healing. "Most women will have some pain for six to eight weeks after giving birth," says Joyce. "I don't like setting time constrictions because for some women it can take much longer to enjoy sex again."
A recent Australian study found that one in five women took longer than six months to have comfortable intercourse after giving birth. "Some women can take over a year," says Joyce. Sometimes stitches don't heal properly and scar tissue may need to be massaged or released. If you're feeling a lot of pain or discomfort after two months, you should see your doctor.
