Teach health etiquette

Start talking about covering your face when you sneeze or cough at an early age. Toddlers won’t do it every time but, if you are consistent in teaching your child good health etiquette, it will eventually stick.

Encourage your child’s school to have tissues handy and show her how to use them. Show your child how to cough or sneeze into her sleeve and try to prevent her from touching her face.
