Flying During Pregnancy

Why flying during pregnancy can be risky
On long trips when you're not moving, there's an increased risk of blood clots in your legs, so it's important to get up and take a 10-minute walk every two or three hours. (Fortunately, your bladder will probably have you up and moving around anyway!)
Pregnant women also sometimes worry about radiation exposure when traveling by plane. If you're doing a tremendous amount of flying, there may be some amount of radiation exposure, but for most people it isn't an issue and it shouldn't pose a risk to your baby.
If you're planning a visit to an exotic location, make sure your immunizations are up to date and be sure to check with your doctor and consult a travel medical specialist well in advance of your trip.
