Baby Brain Boosters

Talk, Just not too Much
Babies can start to distinguish sounds as early as 16 weeks gestation and newborns are born knowing certain speech sounds of their mother's native language. This doesn’t mean you should keep your baby engaged with non-stop music and conversation. In fact, the opposite is true. Overstimulation can actually be disruptful to brain development and be stressful to the baby. Besides, the sounds a fetus hears in the womb are muffled and it can’t decipher meaning from words. So share a song or a story, but give your baby time to rest too.
