Kid's Vitamin Recall

Does your child eat vitamins? Health Canada has just issued a recall for both children’s and adult gummy vitamin products from Church & Dwight Canada Corp. The affected supplements include L'il Critters Vitamin D3 (seen here) and Vitafusion Calcium Adult Gummy Vitamins.
In a recent testing, the company identified extremely high vitamin D levels (almost four times the amount advertised on the labels) in these products. While this is likely won't have a huge impact on adults, Health Canada is concerned about children – especially those under the age of eight. Young kids may not be able to handle the high levels of vitamin D and may experience symptoms such as headaches, nausea, vomiting, constipation, lack of appetite, irritability, dehydration, fatigue and weight loss.
If your child has consumed these goods and experienced any of the aforementioned side effects, please report the reactions on Health Canada’s website or call toll-free at 1-800-267-9675.
