How to Eat Eco-Friendly

1. Minimize Meat: Cut back on the meat in your diet by eating vegetarian a day or two each week. Meatless Mondays are a great way to start the week. To get you started, try this delicious recipe for Broccoli and Quinoa Salad.

2. Go Local: Support your local farmers’ market (kids of all ages can pick their favourite produce) or plant your own garden. There are several easy vegetables (like lettuce, tomatoes and herbs) that even those with “brown” thumbs can make come to life. And kids LOVE gardening and eating the fruits (or vegetables) of their labour!
