No More Buckle up Troubles

No More Buckle up Troubles

Mommy Gear | March 2015

I was growing so tired of continuing to lean over the seat to buckle in my six-year-old son. The buckle constantly got caught under his booster or became wedged between his booster and his sister’s car seat. Enter MyBuckleMate; now my son can buckle up on his own, giving him independence and me one less task to tackle.

MyBuckleMate was invented by Meghan Khaitan (like me, a mother of three), when her kids were unable to buckle themselves due to floppy buckles. MyBuckleMate keeps backseat buckles propped up and easy to reach so buckling up is always a snap.

There’s no more buckles flopping around, falling into seat pockets, or getting wedged under booster seats. It’s a great way for kids to learn to independently buckle themselves at an early age and to take one more little task off mom and dad’s to-do list.

MyBuckleMate is able to fit in tight spaces and it doesn’t interfere with your vehicle’s buckling mechanism since it locks into place around the fabric that anchors back seat buckles to your auto's back seat. It won't obstruct the buckle's release button or the latch plate where the buckle clicks into place. ($13.99)
