Mommy Beading Party

Mommy Beading Party

Mommy Gear | October 2014

While it’s easy to make life all about your baby, sometimes you need to carve out a little mom time. So many mommy get togethers focus on activities for baby, it’s fun to plan an event for mom.

Mommy beading parties are a great way for moms with pre-crawling babies (newborn to about 9 or 10 months) to connect with other moms, stay fashion savvy and make a fun accessory that will fit no mater what your clothing size.

Your baby can bond with the other babies on a mat or chair, or take a nap while you carve out a little fun time with other moms.

Hire in a mobile jewelry-making party like Beading Buds or create your own party. Here's how:

Bracelet-making Party

Beading Buds has provided step-by-step instructions on how to make a trendy gold and glass bead bracelet.

What you Need:

Gold chain, long enough to go 3/4 around your wrist

7 4mm glass beads

1 Gold eye pin large enough to fit the 7 beads

2 Gold connectors

1 Gold lobster glass

1 Flat nosed pliers

1 Needle nosed pliers

Bracelet Directions:

  1. Cut the gold chain in half.
  2. Using either set of pliers, open up one end of the eye pin and connect through the last link on one of the pieces of chain.
  3. String the seven glass beads on the eye pin.
  4. Make a loop on the eye pin using the needle nosed pliers and attach to the other piece of chain.
  5. Open one connector and attach the lobster clasp to the other end of one piece of chain.
  6. Using the other connector, attach a jump ring to the last remaining end of the chain.
  7. Your bracelet is now complete.

Beading Buds has donated one of these bracelets as a giveaway.  To enter, please "like" Beading Buds on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/beadingbuds and Just the Facts Baby on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/justthefactsbaby, then comment on this post letting us know that you liked both pages.
