Portable Night Light

Portable Night Light

Baby Gear | December 2014

Portable Night Light

I bought a traditional night light for my then two-year-old and noticed it came with a warning: Not recommended for children under eight. When you think about it, there’s a lot that’s dangerous about traditional night lights for really young children. The bulb could be hot or break; plus it’s plugged into an outlet.

Philips has just come out with SoftPals. These character-shaped portable night lights are soft, cuddly and your child can safely carry the light around with them and even cuddle up as they sleep. When your child is trying to get to sleep or wakes from a bad dream they can just squeeze the toy and get a little light.

The innovative LED system stays cool to the touch, and the SoftPals are easy to charge with a charger base.

SoftPals are available in a variety of character, including some Disney favorites such as Mickey and Minnie (seen here) and Mike and Sulley from Monsters Inc.
