Coping with Ear Infections

Does my baby need tubes in her ears?

If your child has frequent ear infections (or if she has trouble hearing because of fluid in her ear), she may need a tube inserted through her eardrum to keep air pressure normal on both sides and help drain any fluid.

Putting tubes in requires a short operation and children usually don’t need to stay in the hospital overnight.
